Is Chace Crawford Being Gay-Framed On Craigslist? [The Suspected Gays]
As readers have reminded us, Chace Crawford likes to work out at the Chelsea Equinox, and the gays and girls all swoon. A tipster has sent the additional details that the Gossip Girl star also shows up "almost every early evening during prime cruising hours" and often hangs out in the steam room. Proof of nothing, of course, and certainly very far from confirmation of the rumors that Crawford is gay. But someone made an "m4m" Craigslist "missed connections" post that sounds a lot like it's from Chace, but probably only because it's supposed to sound like it's from Chace.
A key line in the ad calls out Crawford's supposed trademark gym outfit of gray t-shirt and green cap. Obviously the ad also got the age about right. Plus there's the line "I'm a fairly recognizable actor."
Here:
But even our Crawford-adoring gay Equinox spy can't believe it's real, speculating that the post is the work of an overexcited gym-mate of the star:
Of course, the Craigslist ad could also be a ruse by Gossip Girl to drum up more publicity and interest in the show (though the email is probably legit, since our tipster is no stranger to our inbox). Who really knows? Probably no one, ever, unless someone can convince Julia Allison to apply her internet de-anonymizing skills to this important riddle.

Um. [Michael Jackson]
"'Michael is producing the album himself and then will sell it to a record company when he's finished,' our spy said. To maintain the utmost concentration, 'Michael has banned his kids from the recording studio. He realizes this is very important and doesn't want any distractions.'" [Page Six]

Hills Star's Awful Fashion Award [Fashions]

Janice Min will come to regret this: Her Us Weekly has named Lauren Conrad "Celebrity Designer Of The Year" as part of a special section called "Us Hot Hollywood Style Winners." (Click the picture at left for a full-sized image, courtesy Bryanboy.) Wow. Well, that's, uh, bold. Because the critics have not been kind to the Hills star's work. New York called her Lauren Conrad Collection "tragique." When Bryanboy saw the Us spread, Marc Jacobs' favorite gay Filipino fashion blogger barfed. Well, haters, Us wrote that Conrad has "won... a wide array of fans," so there. Their source? Oh, that would be Conrad herself, repeating something someone else told her:
"I was just with a stylist who said she has dressed a couple of celebrities in my pieces," Conrad said.
Examples? None are given, or pictured with the piece.
But, hey, there is a photo caption with this quote:
"She did a great job!" proud pal Audrina Patridge tells Us of Conrad's March runway show.

Jimmy Fallon To Replace Conan O'Brien [Conan O'brien]
Jimmy Fallon's long-rumored takeover of NBC's Late Night is now officially going to happen and will be announced in the coming weeks, according to anonymously-sourced reports from Fox News, Variety, Hollywood Reporter and Reuters. Current Late Night host Conan O'Brien is expected to take over from Jay Leno next year following a six-month break, and Leno is being pushed out. On Saturday Night Live, Fallon was famous for fumbling his lines by cracking up, and was recently named one of the two least funny comedians in the country. He'll take some jeers when he starts, but the critics were brutally hard on O'Brien in his early days, as well. And Fallon's already practiced being a tough, take-no-guff talk show host, as his well-liked Barry Gibb character on SNL, shown in the video after the jump (complete with another insult to the dignity of Times columnist Thomas Friedman).
